Drama Club an Outlet For a Positive Voice

Tolsia High School’s Drama Club gives students a chance to be a good example to their classmates, friends and the entire Tolsia High School staff.
The Drama Club learns plays or short skits to perform for the school. The material is chosen and acted out in hopes that they might touch someone in the viewing audience with their message, whether that message to say no to drugs or to not drink and drive. Their goal is to share a positive message. Last year, during the spring concert, the Drama Club performed two skits that dealt with issues that teens might face. Now the students may want to show off their talents, but they also feel they have an obligation to inform and get the message across to others.
Students who volunteer and participate in Drama are very energetic and want to display their many talents. There are students of all grades who participate in Drama.
The Drama Club meets during Rebel Tutoring, so some days many students attend, but other days, only a few show. Currently, they are working on putting some skits together to coincide with the choir’s Christmas performance this winter.
