On December 21, 2011 several members
of the Tolsia High School Bible Club took a field trip to the pediatric unit
and geriatric unit of Cabell Huntington Hospital. While they were there they performed
Christmas carols and gave the patients a gift consisting of handmade blankets
that were made by the students, and a Christmas stocking.
This
tripmeant a lot to the students and faculty of Tolsia High
School. According to Hunter Cavins, “It was very inspirational to the children of Cabell. We had a blast together and it was great to
help others.” Club sponsor Mrs. Sabrina Hill stated that
"What I hope
is that our students are learning the importance of community service. It’s our job to help one another. No, it’s our privilege.”
